We feel fortunate to have purchased this vehicle for our tour in Chile. It was bought locally, so we took ownership quickly and began exploring the coast and
mountains within our first month in-country. Most of the 20,000 kilometers we drove were on the highways. The most useful features: very comfortable to drive (it
has every option you need – it is the Premium model), there’s lots of leg room, individual climate controls, heated seats (even for back-seat passengers), ample trunk
space, it’s easy to park and maneuver (important in Santiago parking areas), has a panoramic roof, and all-wheel drive (it did great in the snow and ice on our ski trips
to Valle Nevado, Chillan, Corralco, and Portillo). This year/model Tiguan is very safe, earning a perfect 5-star rating in government crash tests. It’s clean, well
maintained, and completely reliable. From our perspective, it drives and feels like a luxury vehicle but maintains a relatively low-profile. Bottom line, it has been a fun
and dependable counterpart on all our travels. We are disappointed we can’t take it with us to our next assignment or we would keep it forever. Seeking a good home
